 PASSING OUT PARADE

Saturday 3 August 1957

 

The Inspecting Officer

Major General L.N. Tyler O.B.E. of Mechanical Engineering

 

 

PROGRAMME

 

 

 

The Parade starts at 2pm. and is followed, after an interval of fifteen minutes, by the continuation of a cricket match between the boy’s and the old boys of the school on the Garrison Cricket Ground which started at 11am.

 

 

Tea will be served at 4.40pm.

 

During the interval there will be a short riding display by the boys.

 

The prize giving will take place at 5.30pm.

 

At 6pm. the School Band will Beat Retreat on the Cricket Field.

 

The Boy’s accommodation will be open throughout the day.

 

 

 

THE PARADE

 

 

 

The Parade, which consists of the Senior Squad, who are leaving the School to join the ranks, and the remainder of the School in four Guards, is under the command of J/RSM J Diffin RAOC.

 

 

 

Arrival of The Inspecting Officer.

 

 

 

Parade gives the General Salute.

Spectators are expected to stand whilst the Salute is given.

 

 

 

Inspection of The Parade by Major General L.N. Tyler C.B. O.B.E of Mechanical Engineering

 

 

 

Presentation to the School by Brigadier Garuana Dingli, on behalf of the Central Ordnance Depot Branston, of a Silver Bugle.

 

 

 

Presentation by Brigadier C.H. MacVittie C.B.E. Commander of the R.A.O.C. Training Centre of the Aldershot Trophy to the School, and of the W.O.’s and Sergeants Individual Challenge Trophy won at the R.A.O.C. Bisley meeting 1957 to Sergeant K. Bradshaw RAOC.

 

 

 

The Band Troops

 

 

 

The Parade marches past The Inspecting Officer in Slow and Quick time.

 

 

 

The Senior Squad Troops and marches off.

Parade Presents Arms in a Farewell to their comrades who are leaving the School.

 

 

 

The Parade marches past in threes.
