THE PASSING OUT PARADE

 

 

 

The parade consists of one Senior Guard who are leaving the Battalion to join the ranks, and the remainder of the Battalion in seven other Guards.

 

 

 

J/RSM RJ Mason will be in charge of the Parade.

 

 

 

The Inspecting Officer - Brigadier HL Prentis, CBE., ADC., MVO OBE, arrives at 1100 hours.

The Staff Band of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps under the Director of Music Lieutenant RAY Mitchell, plays by kind permission of the Director of Ordnance Services and the Officers of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.

Form of Parade

 

 

 

 

1.  

The Senior Guard, and the remainder of the battalion, march on to the square

 

 

2.  

The Inspecting Officer, Brigadier HL Prentis, C.B.E., A.D.C. arrives and proceeds to the saluting dias.

 

 

3.  

The Battalion presents arms; the Staff Band of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and the Corps of Drums of     the Junior Leaders’ Battalion RAOC, play the General Salute.

 

 

4.  

The Junior RSM reports to the Inspecting officer.

 

 

5.  

The Inspecting Officer inspects the Battalion accompanied by the Commanding officer and Adjutant of the Junior Leaders’ Battalion RAOC.

 

 

6.  

The Inspecting Officer then presents the Meritorious Service Medal to -

WOI (S/Cdr) RG Roberts RAOC (Ministry of Defence ORD 7)

and Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to –

WOII (SQMS) PRO Clarke RAOC (Ministry of Defence ORD 1)

 

 

7.  

The Staff Band of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and the Corps of Drums of the Junior Leaders’

Battalion RAOC, troop in slow and quick time under the Junior Warrant Officers and NCOs of the

Battalion.

 

 

8.  

The Battalion marches past in slow and quick time.

 

 

9.

The Battalion reforms line.

 

 

10. 

The Senior Guard will march past the Battalion in slow time to the air of “Auld Lang Syne”.

 

 

11. 

The Battalion reforms ranks

 

 

12. 

The Junior RSM requests permission of the Inspecting Officer to march off.

 

 

13. 

The Battalion will march off in quick time.
