Geordie Luke was my Sgt in Parsons house whilst l
was there 1959/60,he was a top class drill instructor,firm,but
very fair,all he asked was that you try your best,and never
allow yourself to let the house down intentionally.l last saw
him in 1964 at the U/J club in Singapore,when l met up with an
old Parson's pal Bob McCusker.l beleive that Sgt Luke passed
away over 20 years ago,but l don't know the circumstances
relating to his passing.You never realize until later in life
what good all that bawling and shouting,and all the bull that
was the Junior Leaders did for you,l personally beleive it was
for the better,and l think l can thank Gordie Luke amongst
others for that.
